My grandson is here tonight. Usually he wants me to lay down with him before he goes to sleep. Tonight I made his bed and put him in it and tried to lie down with him and he pushed me away and said, "No, Gwanny". I guess a two and half year old is not a tiny baby anymore. :-(

Actually that sounds like really healthy independence. Its just hard for us, we want to savor every second of those precious years....but someone is empowering this little guy to feel strong and capable. Good job!
His mommy is playing a huge role in that. While it hurt just a minute I was happy just the same. I told his mommy one time that I wish I was more like her. :-)
