He got on the bus....

My son made it to my uncle's house. Two of my sisters made sure he got there. My mom called to tell me that he has been calling her for the past couple of weeks about what to do. Everyone feels good about this...I am apprehensive. I just don't want him to hurt anyone else.

I guess we will see what happens.

  1. One day at a time. They are adults, and it sounds like they know what they are signing up for. You have solid boundaries. They need to design their own. Keep the faith. You are in my prayers.

  2. Sometimes others can do much more than we can for our own kids. I've always said there are times I need cops, counselors, judges, other addicts and yes family members too.

    1. Totally agree with Ron, drug court is doing more for my son than I ever could have.

    2. I tried to convince a judge to do drug court but he wouldn't. His response to me at the time was, "How many kids his age haven't done that?" Little did he know or care.

    3. I'm sorry that happened Terri, we were lucky enough to get a compassionate judge, if it had been in a different town in my area more likely than not it would not have worked out that way. I'll be praying for your son that things work out with him staying with your uncle.
